The Avenue of Palms lines Seppeltsfield Road for several kilometres between Marananga and Seppeltsfield. The date palms were planted by the Seppelt family and their estate workers during the 1920s and 1930s, a project that helped keep people employed through the Depression.
Today the avenue is one of the Barossa's signature drives and a favourite spot for photos, particularly early morning and late afternoon. It leads to the Seppeltsfield estate and the hilltop Seppelt Family Mausoleum.

Greenock Creek Wines is situated at Seppeltsfield in the rolling hills between the hamlets of Greenock and Marananga, on the western edge of the Barossa Valley. The winery's first release was in 1988, when it sold a 1986 Shiraz and a 1988 Chardonnay from its tiny cellar door situated beneath the Waugh's 150 year old stone cottage.
